Frank Thompson first played Admetus and Macavity in London. After many contracts as a swing, he was cast as "Rumpus Cat " in the 1998 Film of the musical. He was also in the ensemble, as an unnamed chorus cat. At some point, the fan community decided to name this chorus character "Admetus". However Admetus is the alternate name for Plato, and this chorus cat bears no resemblance to him. The unnamed character is actually George, who is notable in the London production for playing Rumpus Cat, and having a relatively indistinct costume consisting of random, loose hatching. His only defining characteristics are the strong markings in his wig, one brown ear, one black ear, with white bangs between.
