HECTOR JAIME MERCADO's (Alonzo) last B'way appearance was the role of Bernardo in West Side Story. Other B'way credits: Your Arms Too Short..., 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, Dr. Jazz. Mr. Mercado's career began as a principal dancer with Alvin Ailey and has since expanded with numerous film and TV credits: Slow Dancing in the Big City, Hair, A Question of Honor, "The Guiding Light," "Love of Life," "One Life to Live."
